Hi, my name's Caroline Weldon and I'm from Walpole, Massachusettes. This year I'm going to be a sophmore at Walpole High School. I've applied to be sent abroad for a year in the fall of 2010 with American Field Service (AFS) intercultural student exchange programs.

I've always been interested in other cultures and wanted to travel the world. I'm hoping this experience will open my eyes to a better understanding of the rest of the world through the experience of living in a new language and culture. I'm hoping my friends and family will all be able to learn with me as I take this step towards a new life and a new me. I want to bring a taste of American culture to my new host family and document my trip through this blog.

I'm hoping this year to raise enough money to make my dream a reality. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. Anything you are able to give is greatly appreciated and brings me one step closer to my goal. To sponser my AFS program now, please click the ChipIn button.

  1. I hope you can make it Caroline. I know I'll go there in my life, it just looks like it might not be while I'm in high school. It was inspiring to kind of meet someone who had the same goal as me, but for right now I'm going to raise money at home for other people. I can go later. Tell me how your trip goes, my gmail is smittylchsfb@gmail.com
